2020 NFL Draft: Thanksgiving Day first-round 2020 NFL mock draft
2. New York Giants: Chase Young, DE, Ohio State
As things stand, the New York Giants would have the second pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. While a shiny new wide receiver is certainly enticing here, there is absolutely no way the Giants (or any team not named the Bengals) should pass on Chase Young.
No player in college football has been as dominant as Young this season. In nine games, Young has given opposing offenses nightmares, as he has accumulated 19.5 tackles for a loss and 16.5 sacks. Those are ludicrous numbers to have tallied in just nine games and it gives you an understanding of how impactful he is each and every week.
In total, Young has racked up 29.5 sacks in his three seasons with the program which is just 7 shy of passing Mike Vrabel as the school’s all-time leader in that category.
He is the most hyped defensive prospect to come out since Jadeveon Clowney in 2014, as he has everything you could possibly look for in a defensive end at the next level. If there was ever a “sure thing” in terms of NFL prospects, it’s Chase Young.
The Giants took the new face of their offense in 2019 with Daniel Jones and in this mock 2020 NFL Draft, they get the face of their defense with Young.
