23. Kansas City Chiefs: Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Colorado

Sammy Watkins has had issues staying on the field for the Chiefs this season and his contract is just too much to eat if he can’t stay on the field. I expect Kansas City will play with the idea of cutting ties with the veteran after the season which would leave a need at the receiver position in 2020.

A name that I keep coming back to when thinking of receiver fits for the Chiefs is Colorado Buffaloes standout, Laviska Shenault Jr.

Shenault is a unique talent that is used unlike anybody in the country. He has been dominant as a receiver, tallying over 1,700 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns in the last two years but he’s also proven to be a huge threat in the backfield as well. In his career, Shenault has carried the football 37 times for 255 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s used in so many different ways and no matter where he lines up, he can hurt the defense.

His versatility just screams Chiefs and taking Shenault at 23rd overall in the 2020 NFL Draft would give Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes a shiny new weapon to add to their already lethal arsenal.
