2020 NFL Draft: Thanksgiving Day first-round 2020 NFL mock draft
1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
While there are no guarantees when it comes to the NFL draft, it certainly seems as though the Bengals are Burrow bound and are on a fast track to take him with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
It’s obvious that the Andy Dalton era is over and Ryan Finley has proven that he’s no more than a backup caliber quarterback. Drafting Burrow would give head coach Zac Taylor the first major piece to a roster rebuild that they desperately need to begin if he is going to stick around for a while.
Joe Burrow has been the surprise of the 2019 college football season, as he has gone from simply a promising prospect with likable traits, to a Heisman favorite and near-lock for the top QB chosen in the 2020 NFL Draft.
In his final season with the LSU Tigers, Burrow has thrown for the second-most yards and touchdowns in the entire country, tallying just over 4,000 yards and 41 touchdowns through 11 games. He began the hype train after an epic performance against the Texas Longhorns early in the year and has not looked back in a season that will leave a lasting legacy in Death Valley.
Burrow in Cincinnati is maybe the biggest no-brainer of any in this class and it’s exactly why I have him going here with the first overall selection of the 2020 NFL Draft.
