Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. will be a perfect target for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Right now, the Baltimore Ravens could care less about the 2020 NFL Draft. Top MVP candidate Lamar Jackson is leading this team to the top. They are firing on all cylinders and are undoubtedly real Super Bowl contenders this season.

While the Ravens are not worried about the 2020 NFL Draft at the moment, it does not stop us from taking a look forward. I have come across a specific fit for this team that I cannot stop obsessing over, Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr.

The fit makes plenty of sense on paper. Shenault is not the best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL draft class, but he is undoubtedly a first-round worthy player who has plenty of upside at the next level. The Ravens have an obvious need at the wide receiver position and Shenault is the kind of guy who can come in and fill it.

Shenault is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound receiver who was fantastic for Colorado last season. In nine games in 2018, Shenault caught 86 passes for 1,011 yards and six touchdowns. Shenault has not been quite as impressive as a receiver this season (52 receptions for 721 yards and four touchdowns), but his ability to make plays on the field is obvious.

He is a big, fast and powerful wide receiver who shows solid route running ability and soft hands. Where Shenault can really make an impact is when he gets the ball in his hands. He is a tremendous run after catch receiver who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.

His power at the point of attack and contact balance are legitimately elite for the wide receiver position. Shenault looks like a powerful running back when finishing runs. Simply put, this guy is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands.

He has also shown incredible versatility in college, which is what makes him such an interesting fit for the Baltimore Ravens. Colorado lines Shenault up all over the field. He will line up out wide, in the slot, at tight end and even as a pure running back.

Shenault uses the same run after catch skills to make an impact in the run game. Between 2018 and 2019, Shenault has carried the ball 35 times for 251 yards and seven touchdowns. His 7.2 yards per carry average is incredibly impressive and makes him a versatile weapon who should specifically spark the interest of the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have become the most forward-thinking organization in the NFL, building the top offense in the league around the strengths of their quarterback. Led by an incredible rushing attack, the Ravens have pretty much been unstoppable on offense this season. If they could bring Shenault into the mix, he would just be another dynamic weapon for opposing defenses to deal with.

Simply put, the Ravens need to find more talent at the wide receiver position. They will likely enter the 2020 NFL Draft with wide receiver being their most obvious need. If they bring in Shenault, not only will they fill their biggest need with a talented player, his versatility makes him a specifically perfect fit for their offense.
