After Tua Tagovailoa’s injury this past weekend, the rest of the 2020 NFL Draft quarterback have changed at the top. Who takes over?

After Tua Tagovailoa‘s gruesome hip injury against Mississippi State, the future of Alabama’s season, as well as Tagovailoa’s career, hang in the balance. It is always unfortunate to see a player be brought down by such circumstances, especially when they are as talented as Tagovailoa with an NFL future coming so soon.

No other quarterback in this 2020 NFL Draft class has demonstrated the same kind of combination of arm talent, mental capacity, and physical gifts that Tagovailoa has demonstrated to this point in the season.

The remaining members of the 2020 NFL draft class among the quarterback position group each possess a unique skill set that separates them from one another, and teams looking to draft a quarterback will be put into a peculiar situation when evaluating available talent.

No single remaining quarterback possesses a combination of all desired skills, but each one has some outstanding qualities that make an interesting case for being the top quarterback of the draft class.

Among the five top remaining quarterbacks within the class, only Joe Burrow has been considered a rival for the top slot in the draft. Prospects Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts have both impressed with their physical ability, but lack the polish NFL teams will be looking for from a top selection.

The biggest risers from this development have been Jake Fromm and Jacob Eason. Both quarterbacks have been known names in college football at respected programs, yet have failed to gain the national attention needed to be regarded as a top choice in this upcoming draft.

With time still left in the collegiate season before bowl games, these five starters will have all eyes on them for their NFL futures. Bowl games will play an important role, and even more importantly the combine after their college careers have come to a close. Who will become the top choice?
