Washington Redskins snag Chase Young 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft
Josh Jones is an extremely raw player who has a lot of work to do in order to be a starting-caliber player at the next level. That being said, Jones is a big, long and aggressive offensive lineman who moves extremely well in space. If he can clean up his game a bit, Jones undoubtedly has the talent to become an important piece for the Washington Redskins in the future.
I love it when teams take a flyer on a quarterback late in the draft. These picks rarely really work out, but rarely do any seventh-round picks work out. Why not swing for the fences at the most important position in the game?
Anthony Gordon is an interesting quarterback prospect who shows an extremely strong throwing arm and places the ball well at times. He also shows strong pocket presence and does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield throughout the play. The Redskins are committed to Haskins, but taking Gordon here would just be a smart late-round flyer.
I just can’t help it. I love me some Clyde Edwards-Helaire. If he is still available this late, NFL teams messed up because Edwards-Helaire is a rock-solid football player who is going to be a difference-maker at the next level
Edwards-Helaire is not the most explosive big-play back, but he does everything else well. He shows great ball carrier vision, is quick to the hole and elusive in traffic and finishes every run strong. Edwards-Helaire is a bit on the small side, but he packs a powerful punch on contact and shows great natural contact balance.
On top of that, he is a high-level pass-catcher out of the backfield who does a tremendous job of securing the catch and turning upfield to pick up yardage quickly. Running back is not a massive need for the Redskins, but Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the kind of guy who can fit on any team. A fantastic final pick for Washington here.
