1. Derrick Brown, Auburn

Auburn’s Derrick Brown has been in a word, dominant, during his time with the Tigers. In his four seasons playing at the collegiate level, Brown has accumulated 29.5 tackles for a loss and has 13.5 sacks. Those numbers don’t even come close to pointing to his actual impact, as he is as disruptive as it gets at the position.

He’s done this while showing off a full catalog of interior moves to get off his blocks and proves to be an absolute mismatch when blocked one on one, regardless of who is in front of him.

He has a penchant for getting into the backfield and causing serious problems for anybody in his path. His size mixed with his eye-popping athleticism are a nightmare for anybody and these attributes elicit shades of some of the NFL’s elite.

Brown feels like the most sure thing among defensive prospects and seems to be the consensus top interior defensive linemen in the 2020 NFL draft class. His size and NFL-ready skill set should make him a lock to be a top-15 pick and is precisely why he comes in at the number one slot of this top ten interior defensive linemen of the 2020 NFL Draft.
