The Tennessee Titans may have found a quarterback to build around and win with in Ryan Tannehill. How can they build around him in the 2020 NFL Draft?

The Tennessee Titans don’t feel like a 5-5 team at this point, but Mike Vrabel has his team competing at least for a Wild Card spot in the AFC Playoff race and the catalyst for the current 3-1 stretch this team is in has been quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Is he altering the team’s 2020 NFL Draft plan?

It’s possible.

The Titans head into their bye week in week 11 with plenty to be optimistic about. First and foremost, they are right in the thick of the AFC playoff race.

Second, the decision to bench Marcus Mariota has resulted in the Titans going from being shut out on the road in Denver to scoring 105 points over the last four games, including 35 in a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Over this current four game stretch, Tannehill is completing 70 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and only three interceptions while also adding a touchdown on the ground and proving his abilities as a dual-threat, as he always has when healthy throughout his NFL career.

Tannehill is currently on a revised one-year deal with the Titans with a cap it of $1.875 million. The Titans acquired him from the Dolphins in a trade, and now there’s a chance they just let former first-round pick Marcus Mariota walk and find a way to keep Tannehill in the fold.

It looks like a good marriage for both parties.

So, if the Titans decide to keep Tannehill as their starting quarterback beyond this season, how would they build around him in the 2020 NFL Draft?

Let’s take a look at a Titans mock draft scenario in 2020 where they build around Tannehill and this defense which has plenty of talent already. We’ll stick with the first three rounds and the Titans’ top 100 picks.
