The Bengals appear to have a firm grasp on the first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. In this mock, they surprise many and go with LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.

Welcome back to another 2020 NFL Draft first-round mock! With the 17-week NFL regular season officially over halfway done, no one can call us crazy for looking ahead to draft day in April.

This season, the races for playoff contention and the top picks in the 2020 NFL Draft are both rather polarizing at this point. The Patriots aren’t invincible or undefeated and the Dolphins have a win and not the first overall pick? What a crazy time.

While the playoff picture appears to be wide open with no one or two teams as clear Super Bowl favorites, the Cincinnati Bengals appear to be the clear front runners for the number one overall pick. Now, with Andy Dalton on the bench and an inexperienced rookie under center, the Bengals will have the chance to evaluate what position they will need to address at the top of the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Beyond Cincinnati, numerous other questions are surrounding the top half of the first round. Will the Dolphins play well enough to ruin their chances at an open choice to fill the void of franchise quarterback? Will the Jets be bad enough to have a top-three pick for the second year in a row? Will the Falcons grab a piece that will put a healthy Atlanta team back in contention in the NFC?

Note: This 2020 NFL draft order was based on the NFL standings before the NFL Week 10 slate of games. Please do not yell at me if you are not happy about where your team is picking here. Yell at your team for their performance to this point and encourage them to do better. Plus, it’s still early. This draft order is going to change many times before the end of the season.
