3. Running Back Class Gets Deeper

We know how deep this running back class could potentially be in the 2020 NFL Draft if a lot of underclassmen declare. Let’s talk about two more who looked great yesterday, Najee Harris and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Harris looked great yesterday for the Tide and was a main cog in getting them back in the game. Despite not having the breakaway speed of some of the top backs in the class, Harris is very quick and can make cuts look effortless in making defenders miss.

He is extremely physical and can bounce off tackles as well. Harris made some plays in the passing game too, looking like a tight end with his great adjustment on his touchdown catch.

On the other side, Edwards-Helaire looked great too. Like Harris, Edwards-Helaire doesn’t have the game breaking speed, but he’s a fighter on every down.

He wants every inch he can get, and he proved it by consistently fighting off Alabama defenders to create more after contact. He’s also quick making cuts and hits the hole with some burst. Edwards-Helaire made an unreal spin move for one of his four scores on the day.
