2020 NFL Draft: New York Giants jump into top 3
The New York Giants have jumped into the top 3 of the latest 2020 NFL Draft order. Where is your team picking in the latest update?
The 2020 NFL Draft order had another pretty major shakeup on Sunday as teams picking in the top five swam upstream against the ‘tanking’ narrative and managed to win some games while other teams further entrenched themselves among the top three worst teams in the NFL.
The New York Giants were one of the biggest 2020 NFL Draft ‘winners’ of Sunday’s action with a loss against the New York Jets, the previous team in line for the third overall pick.
The Cincinnati Bengals got absolutely destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens and fell to 0-9, taking a stranglehold on the number one overall pick at this point with the Washington Redskins (idle this week) close behind at 1-8.
The Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and aforementioned New York Jets all got victories on Sunday, as did the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Because just about every team previously in the top 10 of the draft order going into this week of action. Let’s take a look at the updated order (changes in top 10 in bold).
1. Cincinnati Bengals (0-9)
2. Washington Redskins (1-8)
3. New York Giants (2-8)
4. Miami Dolphins (2-7)
5. New York Jets (2-7)

31. New England Patriots (8-1)
32. San Francisco 49ers (8-0)
The Arizona Cardinals have re-entered the top 10 after a close loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose standing at eighth overall actually didn’t change despite their win over the Cardinals. Bruce Arians gets a win against his former team and, for the time being, keeps his high pick.
The biggest mover from this weekend?
The New York Giants, whose loss against the New York Jets propelled them three spots from sixth overall all the way up to third overall.
Despite the fact that Saquon Barkley is struggling to stay healthy this season, the play of Daniel Jones — who’s got nine touchdown passes in his last three games — has this Giants team seemingly falling forward.
With eight losses already, the Giants are in good position to get another top five pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and we’ll see what they can do with it.
