The battle for QB1 in the 2020 NFL Draft continues as both Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa ball out on Saturday.

There was so much 2020 NFL Draft talent in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, it was hard to focus on just a few players. Make no mistake about it, we will be going back to that LSU vs. Alabama game tape over and over throughout the 2020 NFL Draft process.

The battle for QB1 continued in this game, but neither Tua Tagovailoa nor Joe Burrow was able to separate themselves from the pack. Sure, Burrow and LSU came away with the win, which greatly improves his chances of winning the Heisman Trophy, but when it comes to the 2020 NFL Draft, these two quarterbacks are still neck and neck.

We still may not know who the top quarterback in the class is going to be, but it is fair to assume that both Tagovailoa and Burrow are going to be successful at the next level. Both players faced a ton of adversity on Saturday and continued to step up and make plays for their teams. Both Burrow and Tagovailoa showed incredible competitiveness, leadership ability and overall talent in this game.

I will still give Tagovailoa a slight edge at the moment, but Burrow is not making this easy. Aside from edge rusher Chase Young, Tua and Burrow may be the top two prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class. As things stand now, they are extremely likely to be the top two picks when next April rolls around. Even if there is a team that does not need a quarterback picking in the top two, somebody will be willing to come up and make a move for one of these guys.

When it comes down to it, nothing is more important for an NFL team than finding a true franchise quarterback. In that massive college football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, Burrow and Tagovailoa proved that there will be at least two legitimate franchise quarterback prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. The battle for QB1 will continue throughout the process, but any NFL team would be lucky to have either one of these guys on their roster.
