Isaiah Hodgins (WR, Oregon State) vs. Myles Bryant (CB, Washington)

It’s always nice to have prospects match up in contests, because it gives teams a feel of how they stack up against other prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

This game has one of those matchups. Oregon State hasn’t shown up in this article yet when it comes to draft prospects, but they do here with Isaiah Hodgins.

Hodgins has had a breakout season in 2019. He has 63 catches for 895 yards and 12 touchdowns so far, passing his 11 game totals from last season already. At 6’4″ and 209 pounds, Hodgins has been a great red zone target this season (as the numbers show), and very productive at the catch point down the field. He’s also physical after the catch.

Myles Bryant has moved all over the formation this year for Washington at defensive back. He’s been near the line of scrimmage, played the “robber” position against the pass, and has lined up in the slot. Bryant can fly downhill and make plays and is very aggressive. He’s very physical in coverage despite his size.

This matchup could be a good one if Hodgins moves all over the field. If they do line up, it will be great to see two physical players duke it out at the line of scrimmage to see who can win early on in the route.
