When it comes to prospects to tune in to watch, the focus always starts at the quarterback position. Jacob Eason has gotten plenty of attention so far this season for the 2020 NFL Draft, but the results so far have been a mixed bag. Eason has definitely improved in his first season for the Huskies, completing 65 percent of his passes and throwing 20 touchdowns to just five interceptions.

Eason looks a lot better mechanically this season and drives the ball down the field better, making throws look easier. He’s better with touch throws than he was at Georgia and looks more athletic, making more plays on the run. Combine that improvement with his arm strength, and it’s easy to see why teams have so much interest in him.

The issue with Eason is that his games are often of the roller coaster variety. He makes some excellent tight window throws with his strong arm, like an early throw in between two defenders against Utah. However, there are times where he makes bad decisions on bad reads and it costs him, like last week’s pick six against Utah. A clean, dominant game tonight would be huge for his stock going forward and begin to show teams consistency.
