Round 4, No. 99 Overall: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

With Johnson and Jamison Crowder at receiver, now the New York Jets need a true deep threat at the position. Enter Brandon Aiyuk, a very good separator with the speed to take the top off the defense down the field. A group with Johnson, Crowder, and Aiyuk would be a much better group than Darnold has had in his previous two seasons.

Round 5, No. 131 Overall: Ben Bredeson, OL, Michigan

There are always good interior offensive linemen to find in the later rounds, and the Jets find one here in Ben Bredeson. Bredeson is a very solid guard with no one great trait, but he does everything well and could play on day one, which is tough to find on day three of the draft.

Round 6, No. 162 Overall: Josiah Deguara, TE, Cincinnati

Chris Herndon has upside on the roster at tight end, but the Jets could use another pass catcher at the position. Josiah Deguara is a nice sleeper at the tight end position in this draft. He is a solid pass catcher and blocker who can develop into a nice piece for this Jets offense.

Round 7, No. 194 Overall: Kindle Vildor, CB, Georgia Southern

Cornerback didn’t end up getting addressed until this point, but if it’s addressed in free agency, the need gets less significant come draft time. As far as seventh round picks go, Kindle Vildor is a great selection.

Vildor plays with aggressive and does some chirping along with it. He’s very good in man coverage and can play in the slot or on the perimeter.
