Round 1, No. 3 Overall: Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State

The number three pick in the 2020 NFL Draft gives the New York Jets a lot of options. They could trade down if they don’t like the value of anyone there and move back and trade with a quarterback-needy team and acquire a first round pick and multiple day two picks in the process.

However, if Chase Young is still sitting on the board at number three overall, there’s no way the Jets can pass on him, even for a top offensive lineman. He’s the best player in the upcoming draft and has everything teams need in a pass rusher.

Young is a great athlete with an array of moves and the ability to convert speed into power. He can bend around the edge to win and win with strong hands. Young has 13.5 sacks on the season and continues to dominate every opponent in front of him.

Building the defensive line is a great place to start for this team. Affecting the quarterback and the running game is a big deal, especially when you’re in the same division as the Patriots and the Bills.  Pairing Young with last year’s first round pick, Quinnen Williams, would be excellent for the Jets in the coming seasons.
