Second round

808. Scouting Report. 73. Pick Analysis. OT. USC. Austin Jackson. player

Austin Jackson is, flat out, a great athlete.

The Trojans put this guy on the kick block team and then trust him with their quarterback’s blind side on offense.

At 6-foot-6, 310 pounds, Jackson has ideal NFL size for the tackle position and he has excellent play strength and length on the perimeter.

Why would the Broncos be using a second-round pick on the offensive tackle position? Garett Bolles can’t seem to break through this wall he’s banging his head up against.

Bolles is flagged for seemingly at least one holding penalty per week, and can’t seem to correct his technique.

He will have stretches of solid play, but at the very least, the Broncos need to challenge him with a high draft pick this offseason. I don’t know if they will go with one in the first round unless they can get Tristan Wirfs or Andrew Thomas, but Jackson would be a tremendous fit in round two.
