The Miami Dolphins have six picks in the first three rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft. We look at a mock draft scenario where they revive the offense.
Did the Miami Dolphins just ruin their 2020 NFL Draft tank by beating the New York Jets?
Despite all of their roster movement over the past year, the Dolphins were able to get into the win column against the New York Jets, who might be a more talented but certainly more dysfunctional team than the Dolphins right now, and that’s saying something.
The Dolphins, to their credit, don’t really seem like they don’t know what they’re doing. It feels like Miami is making one calculated move after another to assemble long-term draft assets, and the 2020 NFL Draft is going to be the first installation of the new foundation of this franchise.
Despite the fact that they had to trade guys like Minkah Fitzpatrick, Laremy Tunsil, and a number of other key players to get it, look at this hoard of picks in the first three rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft the Dolphins have compiled:
- 1st round (own pick)
- 1st round (Steelers pick)
- 1st round (Texans pick)
- 2nd round (own pick)
- 2nd round (Saints pick)
- 3rd round (own pick)
The Dolphins currently own the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and they have four selections likely within the top 35-40 picks at this point in time as well.
Draft picks present no guarantees for the Dolphins, but right now, the hopes of the franchise hinge on these picks.
We know the Dolphins need to figure out the quarterback position, even with Josh Rosen currently on the roster. They need skill players. They need offensive line help. They need pretty much everything, right?
Let’s take a look at how the Dolphins could spend their first six selections in the 2020 NFL Draft with a three-round mock draft for the Fish Tank.
