Chicago Bears 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: How to fix this mess
Breaking down how the Chicago Bears can improve through the 2020 NFL Draft.
The way things are going, the 2020 NFL Draft may be the next event that fans of the Chicago Bears have to look forward to. The 2019 season has been a massive disappointment for this team and it is going to be difficult for them to correct their mistakes going forward.
The biggest issue with this team is the quarterback position. Mitchell Trubisky has been a disaster this season and is clearly not the franchise quarterback that general manager Ryan Pace and company expected him to be. The number one priority for the Bears going forward has to be finding an adequate replacement for Trubisky. Unfortunately, that is not going to be easy.
In a perfect world, Chicago would immediately replace Trubisky in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, they still owe their first-round pick to the Oakland Raiders from the Khalil Mack trade. It is unlikely that the Bears find their franchise quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.
However, the Chicago Bears do hold two second-round selections and it is a deep quarterback class. The right guy may fall far enough for them to make a move for a new franchise quarterback. All of that being said, it is still more likely that the Chicago Bears go the veteran route for their replacement of Trubisky. Guys like Nick Foles, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton and Teddy Bridgewater will undoubtedly be on their radar.
Whether the Chicago Bears enter the 2020 NFL Draft with a new franchise quarterback or not, it is going to be interesting to see what they do. One thing is for sure, they have a lot of work to do to get this team turned around. How should the Bears attack the 2020 NFL Draft? Find out in this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
