3. Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are currently in position to take the best defensive player in the draft, so long as they continue to be sandwiched in the 2020 NFL Draft order by teams that need quarterbacks.

The Redskins fired head coach Jay Gruden. They have three teams in their division who seem to have found the answer at quarterback.

Is it possible that the Redskins would give Dwayne Haskins the Josh Rosen treatment this offseason should a player like Newton become available to them?

I think it’s very possible. If they’re willing to fire their coach, they would probably not hesitate to move on from the young QB who has struggled in his first NFL action for a guy who was once the MVP of the league.

The Redskins want to win now. They are almost always aggressive, even to the point of foolishness. I am willing to bet they would not hesitate to enter the Cam Newton sweepstakes.
