2020 NFL Draft: First-round mock draft with four QBs early
The Kansas City Chiefs have been a difficult team to mock for. They have obvious issues on the defensive side of the ball that must be addressed, but most importantly, the Chiefs must be able to properly protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Without Mahomes, the Chiefs are an average football team. With him slinging passes all over the field, they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. With this selection, the Chiefs bring in Oklahoma offensive lineman Creed Humphrey who has been great at both center and guard in college. This is simply a pick to help keep Mahomes healthy and give him as clean of a pocket as possible.
Raekwon Davis is clearly one of the best players remaining on the board and the Minnesota Vikings have a need at the defensive tackle position. Placing Davis to the Vikings here just makes too much sense.
Davis has a great combination of power, length and quickness up front. He has never been able to put much together as a pass rusher, but Davis is a high-level run defender who shows the ability to stack up blocks and make plays on the ball carrier. He is extremely strong at the point of attack, shows impressive natural block shed ability and has enough mobility to chase down ball carriers.
The Vikings find themselves a rock-solid defensive lineman with the 24th pick of this mock draft.
