31. Pick Analysis. Alabama. 6. player. Scouting Report. WR. Jerry Jeudy

The New York Giants are another one of these teams who could certainly use some help at offensive tackle. However, in this mock draft, the top two offensive linemen are on the board and taking another one here would be a reach. Instead, the Giants find themselves some great value, snagging Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy at number six overall.

Jeudy is the best in a loaded 2020 NFL draft class at the wide receiver position. He is nearly a perfect wide receiver prospect who is going to make a massive impact at the next level.

Jeudy is a smooth and decisive route runner who understands how to create space in all situations. He can beat a defensive back deep, separate against man in the intermediate range and find space against zone coverage in any situation. This guy is an absolute route running savant who uses his incredible short-area quickness and fantastic acceleration to naturally separate against any defensive back.

When the ball is in the air, Jeudy is going to find a way to come down with it. He catches the ball away from his body and gets in position to turn upfield quickly. He shows great body control in the air and does a fantastic job of working his feet along the sideline. Jeudy has great natural hands and will win most contested-catch situations.

Once the ball is in his hands, the show only gets better. Jeudy is an incredible run after catch player who shows tremendous natural elusiveness in the open field. Jeudy can start-and-stop on a dime and can turn on the burners in an instant. Once the catch is made, watch out, because Jeudy can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.

The Giants have a nice array of offensive weapons for quarterback Daniel Jones. Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard will be able to make plays for Jones for many years going forward. That being said, this team desperately lacks a true number one receiver after trading Odell Beckham. Jeudy would fill that need perfectly.
