With three seasons of high productivity at Ohio State, Dobbins is enjoying the most prosperous year of his career as a Buckeye with 7.2 yards per carry and 11 total touchdowns through eight games (nine rushing, two receiving).

There was some concern about Dobbins’ explosiveness and vision when he averaged 4.6 yards per carry after 7.2 his freshman season at Ohio State, but the explosiveness and big plays are back and he looks like a player bound for the top two rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Falcons still have Devonta Freeman, but the loss of Tevin Coleman has proven more detrimental to the offense than anyone imagined and a spark is desperately needed for a running game that ranks last in the NFL in attempts and only 24th in yards per attempt.

Although Dobbins is not the game-changer Ezekiel Elliott is, he’s a nice all-around back with the size to stay on the field all three downs and eat a full workload for an NFL team. He could help the Falcons regain some balance to their offense.
