2. TE Austin Hooper to the Packers for 2020 2nd and 5th round picks

Austin Hooper was a third-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons and was drafted after the retirement of the great Tony Gonzalez. Hooper is not Gonzalez by any means but he has played as one of the better tight ends in the NFL last season and so far to start off the 2019 season.

This is a tough trade to make if you’re Atlanta because Hooper has played well in his young career improving each season he’s been in the NFL. Let’s face the truth, there is a lot of interest from several teams in the league and Atlanta can stock up a number of picks to help for a quick turn around next year.

Hooper is in his fourth season and his numbers this season already have him topping what he’s put up in years one through three. Hooper has already put up 526 yards and four touchdowns in seven games this season and if he keeps playing at this pace, he could top the 1,000-yard mark.

Atlanta would love to keep this young playmaker but Green Bay offers a deal that they can not pass upon. The Patriots should also be a team that could pursue his talents before the deadline. In what could end up in a bidding war, Atlanta would be smart to at least field offers if they can not afford to resign him to a long term deal.
