Ranking the top 10 running backs in the 2020 NFL Draft as of Week 8 of the regular season. The NFL Draft takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 23-25.

The 2020 NFL Draft running back class should be deeper and more talented than last year’s. As a matter-of-fact, the Oakland Raiders and General Manager Mike Mayock were the only team to use their first-round pick on the running back position last draft by selecting Alabama RB, Josh Jacobs with the 24th overall pick.

The risk is looking like it’s paying off so far, as Jacobs stands as a front-runner for the Rookie of the Year award about halfway through the season as Jon Gruden’s top offensive player.

Young running backs are starting to make a name for themselves in the NFL. The position seems to be increasing in value as we saw Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliot sign a record six-year $90M contract right before the start of the regular season.

However, not all teams need an elite running back to be successful in this league.

AFC powerhouses such as the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots have demonstrated that all too well. Though they are not essential to a Super Bowl team, they can surely increase those chances, as well as the production of those around them. An intimidating offensive backfield can help an offense establish the play-action.

Enough about the present and the past, it’s time to look into the future. There are plenty of athletic draft-eligible players to talk about at this position making this a tough list to create.

These are the top 10 running backs teams should gamble on in the Las Vegas 2020 NFL Draft.
