Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins has a great opportunity to improve his 2020 NFL draft stock with a big performance against the dominant Wisconsin defense.

The 2020 NFL Draft class is going to be loaded with interesting running back talent across the board. Jonathan Taylor, D’Andre Swift and Travis Etienne lead the class at the position and each of these players could potentially go in the first round. Even after those top three, there is more than enough running back talent to go around.

Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins has been fantastic this season and has put himself in the conversation to be the next back off of the board after that top three. On the year, Dobbins has carried the ball 134 times for 947 yards and seven touchdowns. His 7.1 yards per carry average is the most of any player with at least 100 carries in major college football this season.

Simply put, Dobbins has been fantastic and is putting himself in a great position to go high in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Dobbins has a lot of natural shake and bake as a runner, showing impressive start and stop quickness and natural elusiveness in tight quarters. He shows great ball carrier vision, an impressive jump-cut move and has fantastic burst through the hold. Dobbins has also shown some upside as a receiver over the year, which will obviously be important at the next level. NFL teams want a back who can do it all.

This week, Dobbins and the Buckeyes will face off against No. 13 Wisconsin. The Badgers are coming off of an embarrassing loss to Illinois but they will undoubtedly bring their best into Columbus to take on the Buckeyes. If Wisconsin ends up having any chance to win this game, it will be on the back of their elite-level defensive unit.

The Wisconsin defense enters the game as the FBS leaders in total defense (193.9 total yards allowed per game) and scoring defense (7.6 points allowed per game. Their elite defense is led by an incredible front seven who has been particularly impressive against the run this season. Wisconsin also leads the FBS in rush defense, giving up only 58.4 rushing yards per contest.

The Badgers have not faced an offense the caliber of Ohio State this season, but make no mistake about it, this defense is legit. If Dobbins can break free and have a big game against this defense, it will do wonders for his 2020 NFL draft stock.
