QB. LSU. Joe Burrow. player. Pick Analysis. 2. 817. Scouting Report

Nobody in the 2020 NFL draft class has had a more impressive rise this season than LSU quarterback Joe Burrow. He has come from basically out of nowhere to establish himself as one of the premier quarterback prospects in the entire class. With Tua Tagovailoa off of the board in this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins select Burrow to lead their franchise into the future.

Burrow is an extremely smart and tough quarterback prospect who rarely makes a poor decision on the field. He is a fantastic natural leader who his teammates clearly look up to and always seems to put his team in the best position to win the game.

As an on-field prospect, I really like the pocket presence that Burrow has shown. He is an average athlete at the position, but he shows fantastic awareness in the pocket, sensing pressure and getting away from it all times. Burrow also does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield and looking for the big play to open up.

Speaking of big plays, Burrow throws a pretty deep ball, hitting his receivers in stride down the field on a consistent basis. He is accurate to all levels and has enough natural arm talent to make any NFL throw.

Make no mistake about it, Joe Burrow is one of the best prospects in the 2020 NFL draft class. He is an absolute star in the making and is undoubtedly worthy of being selected by the Miami Dolphins with the second overall pick of this mock draft.
