Day Three // Draft Recap

Fourth Round

As I said in the opening, the Jets have pretty much nothing at the tight end position. Enter the man they call “Albert O” down at Missouri, the guy who caught a high percentage of Drew Lock’s touchdown passes (17 of them, to be exact) the past couple seasons.

He’s already got another six touchdown catches this season for the Tigers, giving him 23 and counting for his Missouri career.

He could very well end up going higher than round four, but he’s currently projected to land somewhere between the 75th and 120th pick. If the Jets could get him here, he would be a perfect pickup for their offense.

Rest of day three

For the remainder of day three, the Jets could focus on adding some more talent to the wide receiver position, maybe a depth piece at running back, and perhaps some developmental corners with special teams abilities.

This is a team with assets to spend in free agency as well, so the Jets have some flexibility with how they want to attack a draft class that is very strong at the offensive skill positions and along the offensive line.

dark. Next. Who should trade for Emmanuel Sanders?

It wouldn’t be a terrible idea for the Jets to invest a high pick on a quarterback, either. If Sam Darnold gets hurt again, this team needs to do better than Luke Falk out there. Find a young guy with some upside who can step in, maybe someone like a Jalen Hurts, whose stock is rapidly rising.
