The New York Jets need some help for Sam Darnold in a desperate way. How can they do that in the 2020 NFL Draft? Here’s a Jets mock draft to find out.

The New York Jets are now 1-5 after getting absolutely blown out on Monday Night Football against the New England Patriots.

Sam Darnold, the Jets’ franchise quarterback and the young man who is currently holding the hope of the team in his hands, looked as bad as we have ever seen him, including some of his duds with the USC Trojans amidst a phenomenal college career.

Darnold is still a young player, but despite his youth and the fact that he missed a bunch of time this season with mono, he’s got to be better than what we all saw on Monday night, missing open receivers, throwing the ball up in the air to no one in particular and hoping for the best, and then revealing to a national audience that he was “seeing ghosts” in the pocket.

Lucky for Darnold, this is what pretty much everyone remembers from Monday night:

Unfortunately for Darnold, his head coach Adam Gase, and the rest of the Jets, the offensive talent in New York is grotesque.

The Jets have Robby Anderson, who is probably more of a high-end WR3 or WR4 than he is a primary weapon in the passing game, and nothing to speak of at tight end or at running back behind Le’Veon Bell.

A couple of injuries to their offensive line had the Jets completely scrambling in this game against the Patriots, and the result was probably the lowest of lows after this team looked pretty good the week before against the Dallas Cowboys, notching their first win of the season.

What can the Jets do moving forward? What players could help this team’s ascent with Darnold at the helm?

Lucky for the Jets, there are playmakers galore in the 2020 NFL Draft. Let’s see what they can add in 2020 to keep the rebuild on the right course.
