2020 NFL Draft in Vegas will broadcast on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network
The 2020 NFL Draft will take place in Las Vegas and will be broadcasted live on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas will be broadcasted live on ABV, ESPN and NFL Network. These same three networks broadcasted the draft last year, with ABC covering the event more for College Football fans. It will be interesting to see if they do more of the same for the 2020 NFL Draft.
According to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, more people watched ESPN than the other two networks last year. ABC was watched the second-most with the NFL Network coming in a distant third. Ourand also notes that ABC saw quite a few more viewers in the 2019 NFL Draft than FOX did in the 2018 NFL Draft.
ESPN and ABC are both owned by Disney and are clearly looking to dominate the NFL Draft viewing market. Personally, I have liked the NFL Network broadcast better the last few years, but obviously, I am in the minority there.
The 2020 NFL Draft taking place in Las Vegas should be interesting. The glitz and glamour of Vegas paired with an event where guys sit in a room and select players from a piece of papers does seem odd, but I am sure that the league has plenty of fun and exciting events planned.
The 2020 NFL Draft class is absolutely loaded with talent, giving teams an opportunity to improve their rosters throughout the process. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young have started to separate themselves from the pack, but this is still a deep and talented class of prospects to get excited about. There are also plenty of big-name players and great stories to build a broadcast around.
