2020 NFL Draft: Two-round mock draft featuring Joe Burrow going No. 2
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled to find a productive edge rusher in the draft for many years. They take another stab in this 2020 NFL Draft scenario, taking Alton Robinson out of Syracuse.
Robinson is an athletically gifted rusher who shows quick burst off of the snap and can bend around the corner with ease. He also closes on the quarterback quickly once he gets in striking distance. Robinson is a bit of a raw player, but his upside as an outside rusher is huge.
Garett Bolles should not take another snap at left tackle for the Denver Broncos. He has been absolutely terrible for this team and is not showing any signs of improvement. The Broncos simply must address the offensive line over the offseason and bringing in Washington left tackle Trey Adams would be a step in the right direction.
Adams is a major injury risk who could end up being a wasted pick. However, when he is on the field, Adams has been tremendous. If he can stay healthy, Adams would undoubtedly solve the Broncos’ left tackle issues.
Jedrick Wills is a power-based offensive tackle who is absolutely dominant as a run blocker. He is extremely strong at the point of attack and shows strong hand usage at all times. Wills could be an offensive tackle at the next level or he may be best suited to kick down to guard. Regardless, he is a good football player who would help the Los Angeles Chargers up front.
Another pick, another offensive lineman off of the board. Here, the Arizona Cardinals find some protection for quarterback Kyler Murry with the selection of Oregon offensive tackle Calvin Throckmorton.
Throckmorton is an extremely smart and dependable player who moves his feet well and always gets himself into position. He is a solid run blocker and good pass protector who has shown the ability to play tackle or guard in college. Throckmorton has a chance to play tackle in the NFL, but may have to move inside to guard.
