2020 NFL Draft: Two-round mock draft featuring Joe Burrow going No. 2
The Cleveland Browns took care of their biggest offensive need in the first round of this 2020 NFL draft scenario, and here, they take care of the defense. Marvin Wilson is a big and powerful defensive tackle who is a physical monster on the inside. He shows impressive burst off of the snap and moves extremely well for a man of his size (6-foot-5, 311 pounds).
Wilson is a stout run defender who always seems to be around the ball and can get after the quarterback a bit. He is a relentless player who would be a welcomed addition to the Cleveland defensive line.
Leonard Fournette has played well for the Jaguars this season, but he has been inconsistent throughout his career and injuries are a concern. Fournette will be a free agent after the 2020 season, so instead of hoping for the best out of that situation, the Jags find a playmaking running back a year early.
D’Andre Swift is a perfect fit for the modern NFL, showing incredible elusiveness and natural playmaking ability in the open field. He is quick in traffic and explosive in open space. Swift is also a tremendous receiver out of the backfield who could immediately be a fantastic playmaker in the passing game for the Jaguars.
Bryce Hall‘s devastating ankle injury makes his 2020 NFL draft stock difficult to determine at this point. He is going to miss the rest of the season but could be ready when draft workouts start to ramp up.
Right now, it is impossible to take into account how quickly Hall will be back. That being said, I still like the player and think he will likely be worthy of a Day 2 selection. The New York Giants have obvious needs in the secondary and could get Hall at a massive value here.
After taking their franchise quarterback in the first round of this mock draft, the Tennessee Titans work on their defense here. Curtis Weaver is a strong and disciplined edge prospect who defends against the run well and can create some pressure on the outside. He is a rock-solid football player who would fit in well with Tennessee.
