Pick Analysis. 60. 24. player. Scouting Report. QB. Washington. Jacob Eason

This may seem a little crazy, but after his big game on Saturday, I wanted to get Jacob Eason into the first round of this 2020 NFL draft scenario. Let’s have a little fun, placing him with the Minnesota Vikings at number 24.

Listed at 6-foot-6, 227 pounds, Eason has ideal size for the quarterback position. He is also an extremely poised player who has more than enough arm talent and physical mobility. Basically, this guy was created to play quarterback in the NFL.

His ability to put the proper touch on his passes needs some work, but the combination of accuracy and arm talent is there. Typically, these kinds of players become productive NFL quarterbacks.

The Kirk Cousins experiment has not exactly gone according to plan and his massive contract is up after the 2020 season. I like the idea of the Vikings taking a shot at some quarterback upside in the 2020 NFL Draft, hoping to find a guy who can replace Cousins after a season on the bench. Eason feels like a great fit for this scenario.

OL. Alabama. Alex Leatherwood. 25. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

Earlier in this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins found their franchise quarterback (Joe Burrow for those who do not remember). Here, Miami takes somebody to protect him. Alex Leatherwood shined for Alabama at right guard last season and now he is dominating at left tackle. With one of their picks acquired from the Houston Texans in the Laremy Tunsil trade, the Dolphins take Leatherwood, who they hope becomes their left tackle of the future.
