CB. 16. player. Scouting Report. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. 52. Pick Analysis

The Jaguars found a fantastic playmaker at the wide receiver position with their own first-round pick earlier in this mock draft. With one of the picks they received from the Los Angeles Rams in the Jalen Ramsey trade, the Jaguars take Alabama cornerback Trevon Diggs. The Jaguars obviously cannot expect Diggs to immediately replace what they lost in Ramsey, but he does have the raw talent to perhaps eventually do so.

Diggs is an extremely long and athletic cornerback prospect who uses his length and size well at the line of scrimmage. He is an impressive player in press coverage who shows a strong and aggressive punch to make life difficult for receivers off of the snap.

He is also a quick and relatively athletic cover corner who shows plenty of upside in man-to-man coverage. Diggs breaks on the ball extremely well and uses his length to help him make plays on the ball.

Diggs is an extremely talented defensive back who undoubtedly has real upside at the next level. He is a bit of a work in progress, but Diggs has the talent to be a star shutdown player on the outside. If he could turn into something close to that, the trade of Ramsey would start to look like a great deal for the Jaguars.
