Improving the New York Giants in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

The New York Giants are off to a slow start just over a third of the way through the regular season. At 2-4 with a tough schedule ahead, I have the Giants once again finishing at 5-11. With that top ten 2020 NFL Draft placement, general manager Dave Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur have the opportunity to snag a difference-maker and more throughout all seven rounds.

The team has had a forgetful 2018 season and this year is not looking much better. That being said, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones is showing some promise.

The Giants received plenty of criticism for drafting Jones, but he has come out and played well. Jones is putting up much better numbers than expected, proving many in the draft community wrong. Jones has been impressive and even produced some moments of true hope against the magnificent New England Patriots defense in primetime on Thursday Night Football just over a week ago.

Let’s be honest here, Jones is not a great quarterback at the moment, but no matter how you look at it, he is much better than any of his haters thought he would be. The man has potential. With a healthy Saquon Barkley at running back, teams will undoubtedly look to force the Giants to win on the rookie’s arm. Is he up for the task?

The New York Giants are calling for backup. This is how they should address it in the 2020 NFL Draft.
