No. 7 Penn State will play host to No. 16 Michigan in an important Big Ten matchup on Saturday night. Find out who should win and how to catch all of the action via an online live stream.

In one of the marquee college football games of the weekend, No. 7 Penn State will host No. 16 Michigan in Happy Valley. Both of these teams are rolling along and expect to be competing for a Big Ten championship down the line. At 6-0, Penn State has the best chance to make that run, but with a win here, the 5-1 Wolverines could get back in the conversation.

The last three matchups between these two teams have all been blowouts, with the home team coming away with the easy victory. This obviously bodes well for Penn State, who are current 7.5 point favorites at home, according to The Action Network.

This is an important game for Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, as he looks to buck another concerning trend for his team. Since arriving as the head coach of Michigan, Harbaugh has had a problem getting wins against high-level teams. Michigan has played 10 top-10 ranked teams under Harbaugh and has gone 1-9 in those matchups. If Harbaugh is going to have the kind of success he expects to have at Michigan, he has to start winning these kinds of games.

Penn State enters this game with one of the best defensive units in all of college football. The Nittany Lions are led by their incredible defensive line. The defensive line of Penn State was absolutely dominant in their win at Iowa last week, shutting down the Hawkeyes rushing attack and keeping consistent pressure on Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley.

Defensive tackle Robert Windsor is turning into a star on the inside. He is a quick and powerful player who is dominant against the run and can create interior pressure. Penn State also has an impressive edge-rushing duo on the outside. Yetur Gross-Matos is a fringe first-round 2020 NFL Draft prospect and Shaka Toney can get after the quarterback as well.

Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson has struggled this season and will likely have a tough time moving the football against this Penn State defense. That being said, if Michigan has any chance of being successful offensively, they must get their talented wide receivers involved. Guys like Donovan Peoples-Jones, Ronnie Bell, Nico Collins and Tarik Black must make plays if the Wolverines are going to have a chance.

The Penn State offense is led by quarterback Sean Clifford who has been inconsistent in recent weeks. Clifford is a bit of a game manager whose overall passing ability leaves plenty to be desired. That being said, he is a tough kid who can make some plays with his legs. Penn State rotates their running backs a lot, but true freshman Noah Cain really showed out against Iowa last week. I am excited to see Cain in action again.

Penn State looks like clear favorites in this game, but make no mistake about it, this is a talented Michigan team that could come into Happy Valley and surprise us. Harbaugh and company have their backs against the wall. Can they pull off the upset?
