Stefen Wisniewski, Guard, Kansas City Chiefs

Throughout his veteran career, Stefen Wisniewski has established himself as an interior presence who can move bodies and create running lanes for the backs behind him. Los Angeles currently lacks a strong interior body to create running lanes in the A and B gaps, and Wisniewski can solve that problem.

As a current backup on the Kansas City Chiefs, his asking price should be no more than a late pick and could bring a culture change to the Rams offensive trenches. This unit needs to become more aggressive and ‘mauling’ than they have been so far this season. A power-running game starts with power personnel and Wisniewski is the piece to make that difference for a bargain value.

There are other possible trade targets who currently backup guards around the league, as the idea of the mauling guard has been shipped out for more agile pulling guards and those who can pass protect against elite interior pass rushers like Aaron Donald.

This whole idea is a farce, as complex stunts and interior blitz concepts have made many mid-tier interior pass-rushers irrelevant, making game planning and coaching far more valuable than a single elite interior protector.
