The San Francisco 49ers are looking like the class of the NFC so far this season, and three draft picks, in particular, have played a huge role in that.
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch will probably be the first person to tell you that calling things out from the TV booth is a lot easier than calling all the shots for a franchise.
Since taking over the 49ers in 2017, Lynch has certainly had his share of ups and downs, but the 49ers have always appeared to be on the right trajectory.
Hiring Kyle Shanahan was a huge victory in 2017 for Lynch, as Shanahan brought over one of the best, most innovative offensive minds in the NFL from Atlanta to the West Coast. Now, it appears, Shanahan has the pieces in place for the 49ers to make a deep run in 2019.
Sitting at 5-0 heading to week seven, it’s clear the 49ers are among the best teams in the NFL with three road victories already, including a critical win in Los Angeles against the reigning NFC Champion Rams.
The 49ers look like a complete team, and that’s a testament to the work of John Lynch and his staff in the front office as well as Shanahan and his staff for developing these players.
I want to look at three draft picks that the 49ers have absolutely hit out of the park, draft picks that have put this team back on the map as one of the elite in the NFC.
