Jacksonville Jaguars 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft after Ramsey trade
Round 2, Pick 40: C.J. Henderson, CB, Florida
With Ramsey out of the picture, the Jacksonville Jaguars now have A.J. Bouye and Tre Herndon on the boundaries, while D.J. Hayden plays the slot. Outside of those three, the Jaguars have no real depth to count on.
With that in mind, finally, with the 40th pick in this Jaguars 2020 mock draft, Jacksonville adds to their newly thin corner position, as they pick up a local kid in C.J. Henderson out of Florida.
Henderson excels in man coverage and is a true hip-pocket type of player that would fit the Jaguars scheme nicely. He has the length they like in their DB’s at 6’1” and has all the athletic traits you want.
He is on the slim side and wouldn’t provide the Jags with the physicality that Ramsey plays with, nor should he be expected to, but what he lacks there is made up for with precision and ball skills that would be welcomed in a secondary that currently has one interception through five games.
Henderson has 6 interceptions in his career and has batted down 8 passes in just four games in 2019. He is always in the position to make a play and he would immediately bring talent to a position that is all of a sudden a huge need for the Jags.
