This Jacksonville Jaguars 2020 mock draft takes into account the recent Jalen Ramsey trade, while also keeping true to trends of previous years.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a tumultuous season with Nick Foles being injured in Week 1, Minshew Mania running wild and most notably, Jalen Ramsey deciding he wanted out of Duval.

Well, now the 25-year-old star’s trade request is a reality, as it was announced on Tuesday that Ramsey had been traded to the Los Angeles Rams. The Jaguars will receive a first-round pick in 2020 and 2021, along with a fourth in 2021 as well.

This news came after it was reported that the Rams had traded away Marcus Peters to the Ravens for linebacker Kenny Young, leaving a huge hole in their secondary that had everybody speculating this exact scenario.

While it is unfortunate that the Jaguars had to lose arguably the best corner in the game today and one of the most talented players in the franchise’s history, I believe it was the best-case scenario for both sides.

Jacksonville has now eliminated its biggest distraction and received some valuable capital in the draft to help continue to build on a young roster.

With an additional first-round pick in the 2020 draft, the Jaguars will surely take advantage of a deep class to add talent on both sides of the ball that could help get them back in the mix as a playoff team sooner rather than later.

This Jacksonville Jaguars 2020 mock draft will focus on improving positions that have proven weak for the team in 2019 while keeping in mind that Dave Caldwell and Tom Coughlin are not guys who will reach for need.
