Taking stock of the Dallas Cowboys 2020 NFL draft needs with a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
Will the Dallas Cowboys be looking forward to the 2020 NFL Draft sooner, rather than later? A few weeks ago, saying that would have been crazy. Through three weeks of the 2019 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys were on top of the world. Not only were they 3-0, but quarterback Dak Prescott was also leading what looked to be one of the most explosive offensive units in the entire NFL. Unfortunately, the next three games could not have gone worse.
The Cowboys have lost their last three games, falling to the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and New York Jets the last few weeks. Their defense is inconsistent and the offense has not resembled anything close to the explosive unit we saw earlier in the season. If they do not turn it around quickly, the Cowboys are in big trouble.
After their poor performances the last few weeks, it is fair to look back and wonder if the Dallas Cowboys were just beating up on bad teams early in the season. They had convincing victories through the first three weeks of the season, but beating up on the New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins is not that impressive. As of right now, those three teams are combined for an ugly 3-14 record.
If we are being honest, it is at least possible that the Cowboys are a bad football team who just got off to a hot start because they played teams who happened to be worse than them. Now, Dallas has obvious talent on both sides of the ball and could turn this around quickly. A win this week against the Philadelphia Eagles would go a long way towards establishing them as the team to beat in the NFC East.
That being said, this season could just as likely take a turn for the worst with the Dallas Cowboys preparing for the 2020 NFL Draft much sooner than they would like to.
