Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

Another league, another opportunity for Trent Richardson to get his career on track. Richardson was an absolutely dominant college running back who was a Heisman Trophy finalist and appeared to have the world at his fingertips.

Richardson went third overall to the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Draft but was never able to have consistent success in the NFL. He was always a talented player, but his lack of ball carrier vision consistently held him back.

Richardson also entered the league right before teams started to devalue the running back position. If he would have come in a few years later, he would not have been such a high pick and would have had much less pressure to deal with. Who knows what could have happened.

Darron Thomas, QB, Oregon

It is going to be cool to see Darron Thomas play again. Thomas was the star quarterback at Oregon before Marcus Mariota, early in the Chip Kelly years. He was an explosive playmaker with the ball in his hands who fit the Kelly offense perfectly.

Thomas never got a chance in the NFL and has been getting passed around in small-time professional leagues for years. He has a chance to put his name back on the map in the XFL.

Marquise Williams, QB, North Carolina

Marquise Williams had a nice college career at North Carolina and is probably best known for keeping Mitchell Trubisky on the bench early in his college years. Williams was an impressive dual-threat quarterback who can run a bit better than he can throw.

Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor

Terrance Williams was an extremely productive college wide receiver at Baylor who was drafted in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Williams had five productive seasons with the Cowboys. He was never a number one receiver or anything like that, but Williams was a dependable player who got consistent playing time with Dallas. The Cowboys signed Williams to a four-year extension following the 2017 season, but his 2018 was a disaster.

That year, Williams missed a lot of time with a foot injury and was suspended for three games for breaking the substance abuse policy. The Cowboys released him after the 2018 season and he has not been back on the radar. Can Williams use the XFL to get his career back on track?
