Scouting Report. player. 45. Pick Analysis. OT. Iowa. Tristan Wirfs. 7

Up next, the Denver Broncos. Denver could consider addressing the quarterback position here, but I would be surprised to see them give up on Drew Lock so early. Lock is far from a guarantee to be a strong starting quarterback in the NFL, but he is a talented guy who has some real upside going forward.

Instead of taking another quarterback, the Broncos address their offensive line by taking Tristan Wirfs with the seventh overall pick of this mock draft. Wirfs has primarily been a dominant right tackle in college, but he has had success at the left tackle position as well. Here, the selection of Wirfs is to replace 2017 first-round pick Garrett Bolles at left tackle.

With a ridiculous natural combination of power and athleticism, Wirfs has massive upside on the offensive line. He is an extremely mobile pass protector who mirrors opposing edge rushers extremely well and when he engages the defender, Wirfs can typically dominate him with raw power and strength.

He anchors at an extremely high level and consistently uses the proper pad level to win with leverage. Wirfs is a great pass protector and dominant run blocker who has the skills to be a franchise left tackle at the next level.

The Broncos have had a lot of issues with their offensive line this season and Bolles has been a major reason why. Replacing him with a freak like Tristan Wirfs could pay major dividends for their entire offensive unit.
