58. EDGE. 3. Ohio State. Chase Young. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

If Tagovailoa is not the top prospect in the 2020 NFL draft class, that title belongs to Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young. Make no mistake about it, Young the best defensive player in college football and has massive upside at the next level.

The Washington Redskins did draft talented edge rusher Montez Sweat in the first round last year, but he should not hold them back from getting Young on their roster. Young is an incredibly talented player who the Redskins could build their entire defense around.

He has an impressive combination of size power and athleticism that honestly, should not even be possible. Young is extremely quick off of the ball and uses his impressive speed and flexibility to bend around the ends and fly by offensive tackles on his way to the quarterback. He also shows impressive natural power at the point of attack, taking the manhood of opposing offensive linemen with a ferocious bull rush.

Young’s ability to put pressure on the quarterback is incredibly impressive and is what makes him such a valuable 2020 NFL Draft prospect. That being said, do not sleep on his ability against the run. Young is active against the run, showing the ability to penetrate through gaps and make plays in the backfield. He also sets the edge at an extremely high level.

Simply put, Chase Young is the best defensive player in the 2020 NFL draft class and will be a force to be reckoned with at the next level.
