Round 5, No. 130 Overall: Ben Bredeson, OL, Michigan

The offensive line rebuild for the Washington Redskins can’t stop after adding just one player. The interior offensive line class isn’t super deep, but there are some guys later in the draft that can contribute. One of those players is Ben Bredeson. Bredeson is a solid all-around player with good balance as a pass protector who won’t struggle in protection or moving players in the running game.

Round 7, No. 193 Overall: Lavert Hill, CB, Michigan

The Washington Redskins continue their dip into the Michigan talent pool by selecting corner Lavert Hill. Hill, despite his 5’11”, 177 pound frame, can hold his own on the outside against bigger receivers with strong technique at the line of scrimmage. He also has great ball skills and can hold his own down the field. Hill can play in the slot at the start of his career and move outside with more development.

Round 7, No. 198 Overall: Evan Weaver, LB, California

The linebacker position is a little thin in Washington, so it would be good to add someone late here. Evan Wevaer packs a punch as a linebacker with great ability to come downhill and make plays against the run. He struggles a bit in coverage with a lack of athleticism, but with the line in front of him, he can come in and make plays on early downs.
