It’s been a disappointing start to the season for the Atlanta Falcons which has them looking to the 2020 NFL Draft. What do they need to fix the roster?

The Atlanta Falcons have not met the lofty expectations that many set for them heading into the 2019 season. Back in April, the Falcons drafted two offensive linemen in the first round. That combined with the return of key defenders from injury made the Falcons a popular pick to make the playoffs.

Things just haven’t gone Atlanta’s way so far in 2019. Both rookie offensive linemen have been injured, and guard Chris Lindstrom ended up on IR. The offense has slowed because of it, struggling to get the run game going and struggling to protect Matt Ryan, both of which were issues last season.

On top of that, the defense once again lost safety Keanu Neal for the season. They have also struggled to stop the run and get pressure on the quarterback, leading to struggles giving up big plays.

It’s basically been a snowball effect for this team so far in 2019. One problem led to more and more and it doesn’t look like they can turn the season around.

That means it’s time to turn the page and look to the 2020 NFL Draft in order to fix their main issues and get back to being the contender that many expect them to be year in and year out. It starts with beefing up the defense and adds a weapon for Ryan and the offense. Who did they add in this mock draft? Let’s get into it to find out.
