Cincinnati Bengals 2020 NFL Draft: 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft
Round 3, No. 65 Overall: Trey Adams, OT, Washington
We talked about how the offensive line needs serious improvement, and at the top of the third round, we find some value. Trey Adams is a very athletic tackle with great footwork and so many reps in pass protection that he has pass sets down to a science. He’s improved a whole lot in the run game so far this season and is an early riser in the tackle class.
The biggest concern with Adams is his injury history. He injured his knee two seasons ago and his back last season, both of which caused him to miss the season. If he stays healthy he would be a good addition to this team, no matter which tackle spot he plays.
Round 4, No. 97 Overall: Khalid Kareem, EDGE, Notre Dame
The edge group for the Cincinnati Bengals is tough to figure out right now. We haven’t seen much from Carl Lawson since his rookie year. Carlos Dunlap is probably their best edge defender right now and he is getting up there in age. This group needs an influx of talent, and Khalid Kareem brings good length and strength as a rusher and can win with a bull rush or an inside move. He does lack some bend and run defense, but getting pressure on the quarterback is important and Kareem can do that.
