Round 3, #65 Overall: Jabari Zuniga, EDGE, Florida

So, let’s go back to the statement earlier about getting a strong interior defensive line together to free up edge rushers. Now that that’s settled, let’s get an edge rusher for the Miami Dolphins to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Jabari Zuniga isn’t talked about enough in this class. He had a great opening game against the Hurricanes, generating pressure with a quick jump off the snap and great hand usage. The best part about his game is that he is versatile enough to be used all over the defensive front. Brian Flores can get creative with him along the line to create pressure.

Round 5, #134 Overall: Shane Lemieux, OL, Oregon

Adding Wirfs in the first round was a big get, but rebuilding the line doesn’t happen with just one player. Michael Deiter isn’t doing too bad at left guard for the Miami Dolphins right now, but getting help on the right side is key.

That is where Shane Lemieux comes in. He’s a steal at this position in the draft, and I doubt by the time April rolls around that he’s available here. But for now, Lemieux is an excellent addition for this team. He has great power and anchoring ability in pass protection, along with great balance to stay engaged throughout the play.
