2020 NFL Mock Draft: Four teams land their QB of the future
23. Dallas Cowboys: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
The Cowboys are in the envious position of having too many good players that they need to pay, which inevitably means some of them won’t be getting that payday.
With Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper set to get their contracts figured out in due time, one big name that could be left without a big offer is cornerback, Byron Jones.
If that ends up being the case, the Cowboys will need to reload in the secondary and Trevon Diggs out of Alabama would be a quality piece to begin that process.
Diggs is a big corner with plus tackling ability that can also keep up with just about any receiver he lines up against.
He projects well to the next level and would be a nice fit with the Cowboys. A strong pick for Dallas late in the first round of this 2020 NFL mock draft.
24. Green Bay Packers: Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma
Neville Gallimore is a freaky athlete, not unlike the Packers 2019 first-round pick, Rashan Gary. The difference is that Gallimore carries a bit more weight and would be used more as an inside presence for the Packers.
Gallimore has been outstanding for the Sooners in 2019 and is one of the fastest rising players and is why he has landed on this 2020 NFL mock draft.
He has a versatile skill set that the Packers covet on their front and he finishes every play until the whistle. Adding Gallimore to this unit would give them needed depth and will only help to maintain the Packers’ newfound defensive identity.
