2020 NFL Mock Draft: Four teams land their QB of the future
21. Cleveland Browns: Lucas Niang, OT, TCU
The Cleveland Browns have proven time and time again this season that they desperately need help on their offensive line. Specifically, the tackles have really struggled to keep Baker Mayfield upright in 2019.
With that being the case, the Browns look to upgrade one of those sides by taking Lucas Niang out of TCU with the 21st pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft.
Niang has a ton of experience with the Horned Frogs and he’s seen action on each side of the line. If you were to imagine the perfect size of a left tackle in the NFL, you would think of Lucas Niang. He’s massive and blends that with surprising athleticism.
He would give the Browns options to potentially help keep their franchise quarterback off his back in 2020.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford
The LA Chargers have one of the better secondary units in the NFL right now, but they do lack depth at the corner position.
That’s why with the 22nd pick of the 2020 NFL mock draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select cornerback Paulson Adebo out of Stanford.
Adebo is a prototypical boundary corner that thrives in zone schemes. He has good size and an overall skillset in coverage that makes him a fit anywhere he goes.
While he has had some rough outings thus far in 2019, I expect Adebo will finish the season strong on his way to a first-round selection.
